Pondo cliff crassula has lax stems and fleshy broadly elliptic leaves. It grows up to 14 inches (35 cm) tall but is usually shorter as the stems sprawl and lose the lower leaves as they get older. Leaves are dark glossy green on the upper surface, while the lower surface is maroon to carmine, giving them a striking appearance. They become longer as they age. The stems sometimes send down roots. Flowers are yellowish-green, star-shaped, and appear in spring arranged in a rounded or slightly elongated thyrse with several dichasia.
A minimum spacing of 0.15m when planting is recommended best results.
